In our cities, there are many products being sold and lit up advertisements that light up the sky, But the way there selling is really interesting. One of the biggest ways to sell items, is by using sex. I'm talking about the male and female hormonal thoughts that strike our minds every day. Study shows that the average male mind thinks of sex or a sexual related thought at lest 19 times a day. Other studies show that the average women min will think about it much less, only 13 times a day. Being who we are, we will find a way to use this, so why not make a green M&M look sexy to sell candy. It is one of if not the biggest way we sell products today, - by using sexual situations. Many companies do it, one of the first to come to mind is Hooters which we all know isn't a owl restaurant. One add said that by not being tall girls won't notice you, buy this thing and then they will. The adds for GoDaddy - I have no idea what there selling, they never say. Their adds always have some sexy woman, but never do they once state what they sell or what they plan to achieve. This can effect people on an emotional block too. Those who are less social may become depressed by such add.   Other types of adds do the same type of type of thing but in a different manor. Recently an ad for Sonic came up showing chilly cheese hot dog. I just ate and became hungry...   these adds also make us buy stuff we don't normally buy ... I bought 5 gum instead of stride the other day because I saw their commercial.. Now I buy 5 gum regularly.  In conclusion ... companies know our common wants, needs, and feelings and because of this, they can sell products based on an average persons wants and needs.

1"What impact is this having us" Neuromarketing
The mass media that fill our cities, homes, and minds with thoughts of what to buy can be both over whelming and confusing. There are hundreds of attempts to sell us products and a lot of those attempts work. If you sell a blue car and say it's safer than the red, people will buy the red. However if you say that red saves more gas, then people give some thought. While pondering these two cars - Now a green car comes that does both of those things but it's ugly and isn't very fast. Now people have to think whats the the best for them. While thinking what car they want.
There are thousands even millions of different adds for different products with different options. All of this mind numbing madness is put on top of the rest of our daily life. I choose to believe that all of this media can cause our minds to get ambushed by thoughts and eventually we start asking ourselves whats wrong with us, what we don't have over what we do have and what will happen if I don't get that.
The fact is that there is so much all at once it's hard for our brain to process and we start to wander, or get sucked in by media. Eventually we will be like those fat floaty people from Wally where their entire life is based of Products and things to buy.
To visualize our world in another way, pretend that our world is like the Internet and our minds being giant computers. Millions inhabit it and millions use it to sell. Our streets have become cluttered and covered by pop ups that make it hard for our computer work correctly. The more pop ups that are piled into our computer the less our computers work efficiently. Eventually these pop ups make our computer slow, glitchy, have errors and sometimes cause them to crash...

The Visual Media

The 3 videos show that visual media shows mans idea of perfection. This perfection causes us to bilieve we aren't what we should be. Having watched the 3 videos, I do agree on what they are saying. The visual messages that advertisements send us do make us believe that we are imperfect to a point and makes a lot of us strive to become "Mans Perfect Model".
I am aware that visual media is edited most of the time causing most models to look 30-60% better that really do. Because of this we try to look like those fake models and sometimes it backfires on us. I do agree that visual media fills our minds with fake images of what we should look like. And a lot of times we Go to far or continue to think that we are still "imperfect". I have noticed this before, before having this assignment and from what I see and saw back then I agree on what these videos are trying to portray.
Only a few visual medias do not edit there pictures and create a false beauty. However due to the fact that over 60% of all visual media being cartoon or real uses "their" idea of perfection we all assume we are all not as good looking as we should be when a lot of times were fine the way we are.
There is possibility that if one business were to stop editing their models so that they aren't as man made, their product would not sell as much. However I believe that if every company stopped editing their models, over time the products they sell would shift a bit and return to normal and maybe cause some of the potential viewer's to not stress about their looks.
